Songs For Six Strings

To pick a guitar is a gracious thing. So wrote John Steinbeck in his novel The Grapes of Wrath. He could have been writing the songs and guitar style of Ralph McTell.

Song for Six Strings is a serialized release of live concert performances with the first disc dating from 2009. A collection of 6 discs, each will contain six McTell songs. Handpicked by McTell himself, Songs for Six Strings will be a unique record of his live work for the next few years.

Each disc has its own guitar string number

E1, B2, G3, D4, A5, E6 –

And comes in its own “string packet.”

Many songs will be old favourites, some will be newer, others have never been available as live recordings before.
